These terms apply when you buy from Alpine Essentials. Please read them with our refund policy, shipping policy and privacy policy. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Who we are

Alpine Essentials is a trading name of a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us through our contact page.

Your order

When you place an order, we email you to confirm it. That confirmation is when our contract with you starts. If we can't supply something you ordered, for example because it has sold out, we'll tell you and refund you in full.

You must be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in your local currency and charged at checkout. Delivery is free. Multi-buy savings are applied automatically at checkout. If we make an obvious pricing mistake, we'll contact you before dispatch and you can cancel for a full refund.

Orders delivered outside the UK may be charged import VAT or customs fees on delivery, unless checkout shows them as included.

Delivery

We deliver to the UK, every EU country, Norway and Switzerland. Delivery takes 2 to 4 business days, with tracking. Items are your responsibility once they are delivered to you or to someone you've nominated.

Changing your mind

You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. Our refund policy explains how and includes a cancellation form you can use.

If something is wrong

Everything we sell must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, you have legal rights to a repair, a replacement, a refund or a price reduction, depending on the problem and how long you've had the item. In the UK you can reject a faulty item for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. Customers in the EU, Norway and Switzerland have at least two years to claim for faults that were present at delivery.

90-day fit guarantee

This is on top of your legal rights. If your Tunes Band doesn't fit comfortably under your ski helmet, tell us through our contact page within 90 days of delivery and we'll refund what you paid for it. The guarantee covers Tunes Bands bought from us and delivered to any country we sell to, and is given by Alpine Essentials.

Using our products safely

Tunes Band: keep the volume low enough to hear other people, lift staff and warnings. Don't wear it while driving, or riding a motorcycle or bike on the road.
Snow skates: ride within your ability, on suitable slopes, and wear a helmet.
Follow the rules of your ski area and the instructions that come with each product.

Reviews

We publish genuine reviews from customers, good and bad. We don't pay for reviews or reward positive ones. We only remove reviews that are unlawful or abusive, contain personal information or aren't about the product. Reviews marked as verified come from customers who bought from us.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or of our failure to use reasonable care. We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaching your legal rights in relation to the products. We sell for personal use only, so we're not responsible for business losses.

The text, photos and videos on this site belong to Alpine Essentials or its licensors. Please don't copy them for commercial use without our permission.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If you live in the EU, Norway or Switzerland, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and can bring proceedings in your local courts. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right quickly.
